Takeaway: Sometimes the most unforgettable vacation moments come from cheeseburgers, chocolate shakes, and the last person you expect to see standing in line next to you.

This is post 7 of 10.

🍔 Bubba Burgers: A Kauai Classic

There are certain foods that just belong to a place. In Kauai, one of those foods is Bubba Burgers.

We headed into Kapaa craving something salty, crispy, and unapologetically indulgent — and Bubba’s delivered like it always does. I ordered the essentials:

  • Cheeseburger
  • Fries
  • Onion rings
  • Chocolate shake

A balanced meal, obviously.

There’s something about eating a burger in Hawaii that feels different. Maybe it’s the ocean breeze. Maybe it’s the vacation calories (which don’t count). Maybe it’s the fact that everything tastes better when you’re sun‑kissed and slightly windblown.

🍟 The Perfect Vacation Lunch

We grabbed a table, unwrapped our burgers, and let the magic happen. Crispy fries. Golden onion rings. A chocolate shake thick enough to qualify as a workout.

It was exactly what the day needed — simple, delicious, and deeply satisfying.

👀 And Then… A Celebrity Walks In

Just when we thought lunch couldn’t get more interesting, in walks Mark Zuckerberg.

Yes. That Mark Zuckerberg. In Bubba Burgers. On a random Wednesday. Ordering lunch like a normal human.

We didn’t bother him (because we are civilized adults), but we absolutely exchanged the “Is that who I think it is?” look. It was a fun little sprinkle of unexpected excitement — the kind of moment that becomes a story you tell later with a grin.

🌴 Pool Time, Because Balance

After our celebrity‑enhanced lunch, we headed back to the condo for a few hours of poolside lounging. Sunshine. Water. A good book. Zero responsibilities.

Vacation perfection.

🌅 Sunset on the Cliffs

We wrapped up the day by heading out to the cliffs for sunset — one of my favorite rituals on the island.

The sky put on a show: Pinks. Golds. Lavenders. Clouds glowing like they were lit from within.

It was the kind of sunset that makes you stop talking mid‑sentence. The kind that reminds you how big and beautiful the world is. The kind that stays with you long after the trip ends.
